Music

Characteristic of Yoffe is the equation between the aesthetic experience and the act of understanding. The ascetic, abstract yet emotionally tense music Yoffe is often associated with metaphysics and even mysticism. His next " musical family " among modern composers are probably Galina Ustwolskaja and Morton Feldman; but one could also perceive his music as a kind of opposition to the currently established new music. The central means are in the form of education and the polyphony, it is also important to grips with the music of the Baroque and Classical periods; almost completely neglected the virtuosity and the work with the sound effects.
