Borja Fernández Fernández ( born January 14, 1981 in Ourense ) is a Spanish footballer who plays for Getafe CF in the Spanish Primera División.

Playing career

The native Galicians Borja Fernández went through all categories of youth of Real Madrid. He played for the C team in the Tercera División (2000/ 01), for the B team in Segunda División B ( 2001-2003) and later even for the first team (2003-2006). For the " Royal " Borja ran in the 2003/04 season four times in the Champions League. For the 2005/ 06 season he was loaned out to Premiership rivals RCD Mallorca, where, however, he could just as in Madrid, achieve a regular place.

For this reason it pulled the midfielder to second division Real Valladolid, where he was able to secure a regular place and 2006/ 07 promotion to the first division succeeded with him. After four years he left Valladolid, which had just been relegated to the second division, and joined the first division side Getafe CF. The following season he moved to second division side Deportivo La Coruña. With this, he managed to climb in the Primera División. Then he returned to Getafe.
