BOSU

A BOSU balance trainer or BOSU ball is a training device that was invented by David Weck 1999. It consists of an inflatable rubber hemisphere with a dome height of 25cm and a rigid platform with a diameter of 62cm. The name BOSU is an acronym, which stands for " Both Sides Utilized " and the reference for this is provided as a BOSU ball can be positioned. BOSU is pronounced like the " BO " a boy name, and " Sue " a girl's name.

Training

It is suitable for all types of training as well as an independent functional training apparatus in sport and in therapy. Through the BOSU balance trainer co-ordination, balance, sensorimotor, strength and endurance as well as core stability, posture and movement quality will be trained and improved.

These components are unstable achieved by the combination of stable /. When the dome points upwards, the surface is unstable, the device is stable. Once the dome serves as a ground contact area, the BOSU is already unstable in advance. This combination of stability and instability offers a wide range of users, whether they are children, the elderly, the sick or top athletes. Two handles on the underside of the platform, it offers easy handling and easy transportation, making it suitable for professional use but also for home use.
