Boudes

Boudes in France is a commune in the Auvergne region in the Puy -de- Dôme Arrondissement in Issoire and the canton of Saint -Germain- Lembron.

General

The relatively small community of 7.92 square kilometers, is located on 437-726 m above sea level. The wine village on the D 48 has 271 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011). Boudes part with 45 hectares of wine-growing region Côtes- d Auvergne. From Saint- Germain- Lembron the place is 4 km away; on the D 909, turn shortly after this place off to Boudes.

History

The place is mentioned in writing for the first time in the 9th century. He belonged to the lords of Chalus on the neighboring castle of Chalus. Today's townscape can still imagine the Middle Ages.
