Arrondissement of Issoire
The district Issoire is an administrative district in the Puy -de- Dôme in the Auvergne region of France.
History
On 4 March 1790, founded with the establishment of the department of Puy -de- Dôme, a " district Issoire ," which was, however, smaller than the present district. Was from the district expanded to include the " District Besse ", with the founding of the arrondissement on February 17, 1800, the arrondissement Issoire.

Geography
The district is bordered to the north by the district of Clermont- Ferrand, on the east by the district Ambert, on the southeast by the district Brioude in the Haute -Loire, on the southwest by the arrondissement of Saint-Flour and Mauriac in the department of Cantal, and on the west by the district Ussel in Correze (Limousin ).
