Arrondissement of Riom
The District is an administrative district of Riom in the Puy -de- Dôme in the Auvergne region of France.
History
On 4 March 1790, founded with the establishment of the department of Puy -de- Dôme, a " district of Riom ," which was, however, smaller than the current district. Was from the district, supplemented by the " district Montaigut ", with the founding of the arrondissement on February 17, 1800, the district of Riom.

Geography
The district is bordered to the north by the arrondissements Montlucon and Vichy in the Allier, on the east by the district Thiers, on the south by the district of Clermont- Ferrand and the west by the district Aubusson in Creuse (Limousin ).
