Arrondissement of Saint-Flour
The Arrondissement Saint -Flour is an administrative district in the department of Cantal in the Auvergne region of France.
History
On 4 March 1790, established with the founding of the Cantal also a " district of Saint-Flour ", which was, however, smaller than the present district. From the district was the founding of the arrondissement on February 17, 1800, the arrondissement of Saint-Flour.
On September 10, 1926, the resolution Arrondissement Murat was the Arrondissement of Saint-Flour slammed.

Geography
The district is bordered to the north by the district Issoire in the Puy -de- Dôme, in the east by the district Brioude in the Haute- Loire, on the southeast by the arrondissements Mende in Lozère (Languedoc -Roussillon ), in the southwest of the district Rodez in the department of Aveyron (Midi -Pyrenees ) and to the west by the arrondissements Aurillac, Mauriac.
