Boyfriend (manga)

Boyfriend (Japaneseボーイ フレンド, Bōifurendo ) is a manga series of Japanese illustrator Fuyumi Soryo, which appeared from 1985 to 1988 in Japan. The work is to classify romance and drama in the genre, and was adapted as a television anime.

Action

The student Masaki Takato (高 刀 柾), third of four sons, is unruly and often gets into dispute. He was successful in basketball, but was expelled for his conduct of the old school and fell out with his father. The manga was published from November 1985 to April 1988 in the shōjo magazine comics publisher Shogakukan. The individual chapters also appeared in ten volumes.

Adaptation as a TV special

Directed by Satoshi Dezaki and support by Yusaku Saotome Boyfriend was adapted as an anime television special of the same name. The animation was created here in the studio founded by Dezaki Magic Bus. Yukari Kobayashi Yuji Ikeda and were responsible for the character design and animation director.
