Bradleys Head Light

Bradleys Head Light is a 1905 -built active lighthouse on Bradleys Head - on a projecting headland on the northern coast of Port Jackson - in the metropolitan area of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The structure is similar to Robertson Point Light.

The lighthouse is 6.7 m high, resting on a rock and is connected to the shore by a footbridge. Firing shows a green light at a distance of 3 seconds ( Oc.G. 3s) is interrupted, as well as the Robertson Point Light, and gives different signals ( Horn: ev 30s ( bl. 10s, si 4s, bl.. 4s, si. 4s, bl. 4s, si. 4s ) ) from.

Operator

For the lighting of the Sydney Ports Corporation is responsible, while the building is placed under the Department of Environment, Climate Change and Water of New South Wales, part of the Sydney Harbour National Park.

Accessibility

The lighthouse is accessible via the footbridge, but not accessible to the tower itself to the public. Parking is available at the end of Bradleys Head Road. Near the lighthouse of the foremast of the historic warship HMAS Sydney is placed a memorial to all Australian sailors who were killed in wars.
