Branko Damljanović

Branko Damljanović (Serbian Бранко Дамљановић, born June 17, 1961 in Novi Sad ) is a Serbian chess master.

Damljanović 1979 Yugoslavian Youth Champion, 1981 FIDE awarded him the title of International Master, he was Grand Master in 1989. 1991 and 2001 ( shared 1st - 4th ), he won the Yugoslav Individual Championship. In 2006, he shared first and second place in the championship of Serbia - Montenegro and won the subsequent playoff in Kraljevo against Dejan Pikula with 2.5 to 1.5 ( 2, -1, = 1). During his career he won numerous tournament victories, the most significant one. Damljanovićs current Elo rating is 2572 (as of October 2012), so it is on the sixth place of the Serbian Elo ranking. His previous highest Elo rating was 2625 in July 2006.
