Brant Parker

Brant Parker ( born August 26, 1920 in Los Angeles, † April 15, 2007 in Lynchburg (Virginia)) was an American comic book artist.

Life

In the 1940s, Parker worked at Disney, which was interrupted by a war effort with the U.S. Navy. Later, Parker worked as a commercial artist and as a cartoonist in New York City. On November 9, 1964, comic strip debuted the magician Magnus ( Wizard of Id) in 50 daily newspapers. Parker drew and his longtime pal Johnny Hart wrote the lyrics for the middle ages comic. Other comic strips, where Parker cooperated - as Out of Bounds or Crock he left to be only able to devote Magnus the Magician. Parker drew the series until 1997. His son, Jeff Parker took over his work.

Brant Parker died on 15 April 2007, eight days after his Compagnon Johnny Hart.
