Bravicea

Bravicea (1944 - 1989 Бравича Cyrillic, Russian Бравичи / Brawitschi ) is a municipality in Rajon Calarasi, Moldova, 51 km north of the capital Chişinău, and 32 km northeast of the Rajonhauptstadt Calarasi.

Geography

In the northeast, the community adjacent to the village Bogzeşti ( Rajon Teleneşti ), on the west by the village Meleşeni ( Rajon Calarasi ), to the south the village Oneşti ( Rajon Străşeni ), in the southeast of the village Frumoasa ( Rajon Calarasi ) and to the east the village Săseni ( Calarasi Raion ).

History

The place is first mentioned on 20 January 1603.

The village has 3155 inhabitants.

Economy and infrastructure

Traffic

The road that leads from the highway to the village, as well as the turn-off to Meleşeni are asphalted or paved in places.

Infrastructure

Electricity and telephone are available for every home. A water / waste water system, and gas lines are not available.

In the village is about 5 wells from which citizens can fetch water, many have their own wells on their property. The public bathhouse was privatized after the fall of the Soviet Union and the independence of Moldova and is no longer in the running.

The hospital of the place has been renovated with German funding a few years ago and put back into operation. It employs five doctors and 15 nurses.

In the village there are some shops and bars. Every Sunday is 6.00 bis 8.00 clock on the market Piata ( marketplace).
