Brederwiede

Brederwiede was a town in the Dutch province of Overijssel, which had only 28 inventory. It was formed on 1 January 1973 by the union of the four municipalities Blokzijl, Giethoorn, Vollenhove and Wanneperveen. Seat of administration was Vollenhove. On 1 January 2001 it was incorporated ( officially in Steenwijkerland renamed in 2003 ) to Steenwijk. At the time of resolution Brederwiede counted 12,670 inhabitants at 116.86 km ². A small portion of the community ( 5.51 km ² with 17 inhabitants ) was Zwartewaterland slammed.
