The Breitenstein is a 811.6 m above sea level. NHN high rocky plateau in Baden- Württemberg. It is near the village Ochsenwang on the county road 1220 in the municipality Bissingen an der Teck. The outcrop consists of Jurassic rocks and lies on the northern edge of the Swabian Alb directly on the escarpment.

Of the approximately 200 meter wide plateau of Breitenstein can enjoy a vegetation of non-disabled broad view of the field about 400 meters below, to the north of the Swabian Alb location - in the north- west to Stuttgart - which is why it is a popular destination and to almost all maps of the area can be found.
