Bremer Island

Bremer Iceland, named after Sir James J. Gordon Bremer, or Banu Banu or Dhambaliya in the local language, is in the northwest of the Gulf of Carpentaria 3.4 km before the north-eastern tip of Arnhem Land (Cape Wirawawoi ) in the Northern Territory of Australia. It is 7.7 km long and up to 3.0 km wide and has an area of ​​approximately 16 km ². The mineworkers Nhulunbuy is 5 km away on the mainland of Arnhem Land.
