Brezovica (Kosovo)

Brezovica ( Serbian Cyrillic Брезовица; Albanian: Brezovice ) is the name of the largest ski center in Kosovo and a Serb enclave in the community Štrpce in the south of Kosovo. It is located away from the nucleus Štrpce about 20 kilometers east of Prizren and five kilometers south-west.

Geography

The border with Macedonia runs southeast into seven kilometers away. The ski area is located on the north western slopes in the eastern Šar Planina - a 80 -kilometer-long mountain range that stretches between Kosovo and Macedonia and reaches heights of over 2000 meters. The Piribeg, which is the highest point in the Eastern Šar Planina with a height of 2524 meters above sea level, eight kilometers south-east.
