Brian Griffiths, Baron Griffiths of Fforestfach

Brian Griffiths, Baron Griffiths of Fforestfach, (born 27 December 1941 Fforestfach, Swansea, Wales ) is a British economist and politician ( Conservative Party ).

Life

Brian Griffiths studied at the London School of Economics and Political Science and taught ibid 1965-1976. 1976 he was at the City University London Professor of Banking and International Finance. From 1982 to 1985 he was dean of the City University Business School (since 2002 Cass Business School ).

He was from 1983 to 1985 director of the Bank of England. Griffiths from 1985 to 1990 Head of the Prime Minister's Policy Unit and authoritative advisor to Margaret Thatcher. Griffiths since 1990, Vice Chairman of Goldman Sachs International. In addition, he has worked for Times Newspaper and Herman Miller Inc.. Griffiths, a member of the Anglican Church, is Chairman of the Lambeth Fund and Christian Responsibility in Public Affairs from the Archbishop of Canterbury. He is involved in, which was established by Pope John Paul II Centesimus Annus Pro 1991 Foundation Pontifice ( CAPP ).
