Brian Hibbard

Brian Hibbard (* November 26, 1946 in Ebbw Vale, † June 18, 2012 in Cardiff ) was a British singer and actor. He is best known as the lead singer of the A cappella group The Flying Pickets.

Career

Before starting his career, Hibbard pursued a number of different professions, including teachers, steel workers and inspectors. In 1982 he was one of the founding members of the a cappella band The Flying Pickets with which he as the lead singer with the single Only You ( originally by Yazoo ) in the UK and Germany landed a number -one hit.

1986 Hibbard left the Flying Pickets to increasingly pursue acting. He was especially seen in a number of British television series, including Coronation Street, Emmerdale or in the soap opera Pobol y Cwm.

In 2000, she was diagnosed with prostate cancer Hibbard, where he died in June 2012. He left behind his wife, who is also an actress, and three children.
