Brian Holm

Brian Holm Sørensen ( born October 2, 1962 in Copenhagen, Denmark ) is a former racing cyclist and after his active career sports director of cycling teams.

Life

Holm 1986 pro and drove at 1993-1997 for Team Telekom. At the Tour de France 1996, he was one of the helpers of his compatriot and team captain Bjarne Riis, who won this host. Its probably the greatest individual success was the victory at Paris- Brussels 1991. He finished the Tour de France seven times, with his best finish rank 60 was at the Tour de France 1990.

After his playing career, he was one of the sports director of the telecoms team since February 2002. and stayed with this team and its successor team, which recently went under the name of HTC -Highroad and disbanded in late 2011.

In 2004, cancer was diagnosed in him. He overcame the disease, however.

As part of the confession series Brian was the sixth former telecom operator, which grants the drug-taking to improve performance. He had taken in 1996, twice EPO, Holm confessed on 24 May 2007.

Since 2012 he has worked as sports director at Omega Pharma- Quick Step.
