Brian Mackenzie, Baron Mackenzie of Framwellgate

Brian Mackenzie, Baron Mackenzie of Framwellgate, OBE ( born March 21, 1943 in Darlington ) is a British Labour politician and member of the House of Lords and former president of the Police Super indene Dents Association.

Biography

Youth and Education

Mackenzie was born in Darlington. He went on to Eastbourne Boys School. After joining the police, he studied law at the University of London.

Police career

He quickly rose to the police, was Superintendetnt becoming a superintendent and later Chief Superintendent in Durham. After studying at the FBI Academy in Quantico (Virginia), he became active in the Police Superintendents ' Association and spent three years as its president. He was 1997-2001 Adviser to the Home Secretary Jack Straw in police matters.

He practiced from 1989 to 2003, the historic honorary position of Billet Masters of Durham from. The Rotary Club of Chester -le-Street in 2001 appointed him an honorary member.

Mackenzie in 1998 the OBE awarded for his service in the police service and the Police Superintendents ' Association of England and Wales.

On June 2, 2013, the Sunday Times published an article in which she and Lord Mackenzie Lord Cunningham and Lord Laird accused of being involved in the so-called cash-for- access scandal. The Sunday Times accuses him of having offered undercover reporters for a fee to host a reception at the House of Lords and to arrange there contacts with other members of the House of Lords. Opposite the BBC he denied having broken the parliamentary rules.

He is married and has two children and four grandchildren.
