Brian Ombiji

Brian Ombiji ( born August 17, 1982 in Eldoret ) is a Kenyan footballer who plays since 2010 in the Harrisburg City Islanders of the USL Professional Division.

Career

Brian Ombiji was born in Eldoret in 2000 and immigrated to the United States. He attended Lindsey Wilson College, where he played in their college team Lindsey Wilson Blue Raiders. 2004 and 2005 was as Ombiji " NAIA First Team All-American ." excellent and won with the College Team 2005 the championship of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics. In the four years at the "Blue Raiders", he scored 35 goals. In the season breaks the college season, he played in 2004 and 2005 for the Michigan Bucks in the USL PDL, scoring five goals in 30 missions.

In 2007 he moved to the Harrisburg City Islanders in the USL Second Division. In the same year he won with his team to the playoffs the Second Division, in the final of the Richmond Kickers were beaten 8-7 on penalties. In the two seasons he played 35 games in which he scored ten goals, including five game-winning goals. After he lodged a footballing pause in 2009, Ombiji returned in 2010 to the Islanders back. On April 7, 2011, he signed a new contract in Harrisburg City.
