Brian Patrick Wilson ( born March 16, 1982 in Winchester, Massachusetts) is an American baseball player in the major leagues. He currently plays for the Los Angeles Dodgers and was previously Closer to the San Francisco Giants. His trademark is his beard (see picture), he wears the playoffs since 2010.

Career

Wilson was selected in the 24th round of the MLB Drafts 2003 by the San Francisco Giants and had to be in the same year the Tommy John Surgery undergo. His debut in the major leagues he gave on 23 April 2006 as a Closer. For this position, he was also provided in Spring Training 2007. Due to an ERA of 7.71, however, the Giants sent him back to the minor leagues. In August, he returned to the MLB and was immediately reinstated as a Closer. In the 2008 season, he was first elected to the All- Star team in the National League. This honor was given to him again in 2010. With 48 saves in the regular season in 2010, he led the National League. In the postseason, he secured with a save in the final game of the regular season against the San Diego Padres to win the Giants in the National League West. A Save in Game 6 of the Championship Series against the Philadelphia Phillies gave the Giants for the first time since 2002 in the World Series.
