Bride and Groom

Bride and groom is called an approximately 26 meter high double rock formation in the Rhineland Palatinate town of Dahn in the southern Palatinate Forest, the German part of the Wasgau.

Geography

Bride and groom are located southwest of the city near the hostel Dahn in 232 m above sea level. NN. Compared to the northeast, beyond the Wieslauter, the landmark Dahn, the 70 meter high Jungfernsprung rises. The surrounding Dahn is particularly rich in such strikingly shaped sandstone rocks that are stopped at the weathering and erosion of softer rock layers.

Sport Climbing

In climbing area Suedpfalz bride and groom are one of the most visited destinations. According to the nomenclature of the climbers there are two towers, between which a chimney is located. It is called Big fireplace and has the (average) Difficulty III on the UIAA scale. The levels of difficulty of the eleven designated climbing routes vary between I and VII.
