Briggs (crater)

Briggs is an impact crater on the moon northwestern front in the plane of Oceanus Procellarum, to the south of the crater Lichtenberg and east of Russell. The crater has inside an extensive fracture system.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 by the English mathematician Henry Briggs.
