Brigitta Westphal

Brigitta Westphal ( born 1944 in Burgoberbach / Middle Franconia ) is a German painter.

Life

She grew up in Franconia artist lived long in the Frankfurt area. In recent years, her center of life, between the Franconian home and the southern Toscana changes.

Priorities in the work of Brigitta Westphal are man and nature, the biographical component plays a major role.

The encounter with Robert Musil's masterpiece " The Man Without Qualities " was for the artist a key experience. From the close connection to this poet two cycles emerged with 14 oil paintings. Breaks that appear between the phases of work, caused by frequently changing living and jobs in Germany and Italy.
