The Breeze is a peak in the central Swiss Alps. He is a popular destination in central Switzerland and is located on the border between the cantons of Uri and Nidwalden. He is ( 2'413 m) separated only by a 70-meter- deep saddle from Hoh breezes and thus actually rather whose side peak, which is not perceived due to the different accessibility: On the breezes carry two hiking trails, while the Hoh breezes not hiked can be.

The slightly shorter of the two paths leading from Haldigrat forth across the west ridge. The second rises from Brisenhaus east of the rocky summit Penalty to stone Alper - Jöchli and leads from there via the northeast ridge. The traveling time from Brisenhaus is given to two hours. A variant leads from Glattigrat on a mule track on the steep northern flank along towards the Northeast. This path - blue white marks - is exposed and only suitable for experienced and sure- footed hikers.

Accommodations

The breeze house is maintained by the SAC Pilate and is located north of 1'753 meters. To the east is on Gitschenen, the highest permanently inhabited settlement in the municipality in the canton of Uri Isenthal, the inn Gitschenen. To the west is on the Haldigrat an inn; from there a chair lift down to Niederrickenbach.
