The Stanserhorn ( 1'898 m above sea level. M. ) is a mountain in the Swiss canton of Nidwalden. It lies between the villages of Stans, Ennetmoos, core, Dallenwil and Oberndorf, south of Lake Lucerne.

On the Stanserhorn the nostalgic and historically significant Stanserhorn Railway runs from 1893, of which the first section is still standing up to the intermediate station Kälti. The summit can be reached from Kälti with the cable car opened in 1975, which replaced the destroyed in a fire in 1970 second and third section of the funicular. Since 2012 you can go to the Stanserhorn with the world's unique double-decker " CabriO -Bahn ". The Stanserhorn is highly appreciated by hang-gliding and paragliding, it is but as a local mountain of the largest and oldest hang gliding clubs in Switzerland - the Delta Club Stans. On sunny days - especially on weekends - you can witness from April to October each from about 13:00 the start.
