Brit Marling

Brittany " Brit " Heyworth Marling ( born August 7, 1982 in Chicago, Illinois) is an American screenwriter, film producer, director and actress, participating primarily on independent film productions.

Life and career

Brit Marling studied economics at Georgetown University, where she graduated in 2005. With the Boxers and Ballerinas documentation she made as a co -author along with Mike Cahill and Nicholas Shumaker and co-directed on the side of Cahill first attention. Furthermore, she appeared in 2011 as a co- writer, producer and actress at the Independent productions Another Earth and Sound of My Voice. Both films were presented at the 27th Sundance Film Festival 2011. Another Earth, a science fiction film in which she plays the main character, Rhoda Williams, won the Alfred P. Sloan Feature Film Prize and the Special Jury Prize U.S. Dramatic Competition of the festival.
