Britannia secunda

The Britannia secunda was a province of the Roman Empire in Britain today. It was created inferior AD under Emperor Diocletian by dividing the province Britannia in the first half of the 4th century. Capital of Britannia Secunda was Eboracum, now York. Its territory comprised northern England and probably North Wales. 369 Valentia province with its capital Luguvallium ( Carlisle) has been taken out of their territory.
