North Wales

North Wales is the name given to an unofficial region of Wales. You basically comprises the historical territory of the village in the north of Wales medieval Kingdom of Gwynedd and roughly corresponds to today's Principal Areas Wrexham, Flintshire, Denbighshire, Conwy, Gwynedd, Anglesey and Pembrokeshire.

Among the most outstanding tourist attractions of North Wales, Snowdonia National Park are south of Scotland with the highest mountains and the two UNESCO World Heritage Sites Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and castles and town walls of King Edward in Gwynedd. The latter includes in particular that of Edward I (England) built in the 13th century castles of Beaumaris Castle, Caernarfon Castle, Conwy Castle and Harlech Castle.
