Broad Street Station (Philadelphia)

The Broad Street station ( German: Bahnhof Broad Street, literally " width Station Road" ) was a terminus station in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was located immediately northwest of the town hall. It was opened in 1881 as inner-city central train station of the Pennsylvania Railroad in 1891 and was expanded to about operation in 1930. Their function in the transport took over the adjacent underground Suburban Station and long-distance transport, the 30th Street station about 1.5 km to the west on the other side of the Schuylkill. The building was abandoned after the end of the railway.
