Brother Phelps

Brother Phelps was composed of the singers and guitarists Doug Phelps and Ricky Lee Phelps duo of country music.

Career

In 1992, the brothers Doug and Ricky Lee Phelps left for musical direction of dispute, the Kentucky Headhunters and came together to form a duo which they named after her late father, the preacher, Brother Phelps. My goal was to play traditional country music, instead of the mix of rock, country and blues of their old band.

In the same year, a record contract was concluded with the Asylum label. 1993 released their first album Let Go. Although the title track reached the top 10, but subsequent singles were able to place only in the rear areas of the country charts. Her second album, Anyway The Wind Blows, was published in 1995. It was much more rock and more progressive than the previous album, which also included some traditional titles. But sales remained weak, and so Doug came in the same year returned to the Kentucky Headhunters, who had also experienced a prolonged dry spell. Ricky Lee ended his musical career.
