Brüder-Grimm-Preis der Philipps-Universität Marburg

The Brothers Grimm Prize of the University of Marburg was founded in 1943 by the University of Marburg. It is awarded in memory of the brothers Grimm, and in appreciation of their scientific work as a whole (Statute ) usually every two years. With this award, the University honors outstanding achievements in the research of the brothers Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm ..., in particular the language and literature, folklore, the history of law and the science of history (quoted in Statutes). The prize consists of a medal bearing the portrait of the Brothers Grimm and an endowment in the amount of EUR 5,000 (as of 2012).
