Brugmansia arborea is a species of the genus Brugmansia ( Brugmansia ). It is the only species of the genus it is used in China for food.

Description

Brugmansia arborea is a two-meter tall shrub or large herb. It is covered with fine hair. The leaves are ovate - elliptic, 20-30 cm long and 10-15 cm wide. The leaf margin is entire. The white flowers hanging. The cup is like a sheath, 15 to 17 cm long, in the middle of about 7 cm in diameter, it is open irregularly and is divided into three to four pointed lobes. The corolla is orange - red, trumpet-shaped, 30 cm long and has at the top a diameter of 16 to 20 cm. The fruits are spindle-shaped.

Use

Although the plant is native to Brazil, the fruits in China are used for food, sometimes you can see them there in villages in culture in Hong Kong are imported fruits to find on the market.
