Bruno Akrapović

Bruno Akrapović ( born September 26, 1967 in Zenica ) is a former Bosnian Herzegovinian footballer.

Career

The defensive midfielder Akrapović joined in 1988 by his youth club NK Čelik Zenica to Germany, where he first unterklassig at SV Arminia Hannover, Göttingen played 05 and TuS Celle.

In 1992, Akrapović the second division VfL Wolfsburg and was there at first team regular. After 79 games for the Wolves, he went in 1994 to 1 FSV Mainz 05, where he played 97 games in the second division next three years.

After Akrapović had missed 1997 with the Mainz promotion to the Bundesliga, he moved to the then ambitious club Tennis Borussia Berlin who wanted to ascend with numerous prominent new additions to the Bundesliga. The venture failed three years later with the license denial. Nevertheless played Akrapović from 2000 as a regular for Energie Cottbus top notch. After 60 games in the first two years of the Bundesliga Cottbus Akrapović lost his place and in 2002 the regional division club FC Rot -Weiß Erfurt. There he had to struggle with injuries and was only nine times on the field. The following season, he went to league rivals Kickers Offenbach, where he was a regular player in the following two seasons and 55 games completed. After the end of his involvement in Offenbach, he returned to Arminia Hannover.

From 2006 to 2008 Akrapović was a player coach for the SSV Vorsfelde in the Lower League before he hired in summer 2008 as an assistant coach Bernd Hollerbach at the second team of VfL Wolfsburg. From August 2008 to June 2009 he worked as assistant to the newly committed German coach Jürgen Röber the Russian first division club Saturn Ramenskoje. Since June 2009 he has served as player-coach in the first circle class Wolfsburg at DJK Germania Wolfsburg. Besides, he makes the football teacher's license.

For the national football team of Bosnia and Herzegovina he was active until 2002 and played a total of 13 matches.
