Bruno Bozzetto
Bruno Bozzetto ( born March 3, 1938 in Milan ) is an Italian cartoon animator and film director.
Life
In addition to the creation of figures such as the Signor Rossi is Bozzetto creator of many short animations, mainly of a political or satirical nature. Appeared early in 1965 "West and Soda " ("The Wildest West" ), the first of three movies, the stereotypes of different cinema genres humorous used, but always constituted also a loving homage. In 1968 he created VIP - My Brother Superman, a very important and widely -forgotten works; his best-known work is probably the 1976 film produced Allegro non troppo, a montage of short films, deposited with classical music, in the manner of Disney's Fantasia. 1980 followed the series Lilliputput, which was to be seen, among other things on German television in the program with the mouse and fun on Tuesday.
In 1987 he made his first film with actors; Cavalette his film was nominated for the 1991 Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film.
In recent years Bozzetto laid hands on Flash animations for the Web; of which the best known are likely to "Italy & Europe " and " Yes & No - a dyseducational roadmovie " be a graphically simple, but witty and funny comparison between Italy and the rest of Europe, or right and wrong behavior in the traffic.
For his life's work, he received an award at the 1998 Animation Festival in Zagreb.
