Bruno Hussar

Bruno Hussar ( born May 5, 1911 in Cairo, Egypt; † February 8, 1996 in Jerusalem) was a Catholic priest and founder of Neve Shalom / Wahat al -Salam in Israel.

Life and work

Bruno Hussar was born to Jewish parents who had French citizenship, in Cairo. In France, Bruno Hussar first completed an engineering study. During his studies in France in 1935, he converted from Judaism to Catholicism and was concerned with theology. He made ​​contact with the Order of Preachers of the Dominicans.
