Brychius
Brychius elevatus
Brychius is a genus of beetles in the family of the phalarope ( Haliplidae ). It occurs in Europe with two species in Central Europe which Brychius elevatus is widespread.
Features
The beetles are distinguished from the other genera of the Phalarope by their body shape. Her neck plate is square and before the middle of the widest or has parallel edges. The Basalstriche are extended forward to the front edge. The elytra are elongated and oval, they lack a unpunktierter Suturalstreifen.
Occurrence and life
The animals live in slow-flowing streams.
