Bucegi Mountains

The Bucegi Mountains (also Butsch Adige mountains or the Butsch Adige, Romanian Munţii Bucegi, Hungarian Bucsecs - hegység ) is located south of the city Braşov on the eastern edge of the Southern Carpathians in Romania. It extends horseshoe-shaped south-east of Bran. The highest peak of the mountain is 2505 m high Omu Peak ( cisco ).

The well-developed mountain with an area of ​​about 300 square kilometers has numerous mountain huts and numerous in the area of Sinaia ski lifts. The north of the Bucegi Mountains, including the Arctic cisco, is protected as a national park.
