Buck Brannaman

Dan M. "Buck" Brannaman ( born January 29, 1962 in Sheboygan, Wisconsin) is an American horse trainer and a leading practitioner in the field of horse whisperer. One of the main objectives of Brannaman is to create an environment for horses, in which the animals in the presence of people to feel safe, so that horse and rider can go into a true symbiosis.

Brannaman was born in 1962 in Wisconsin and later grew up in Montana and Idaho. Brannaman was for many years a student of Ray Hunt, one of the founders of the Pferdeflüsterei. He was also heavily beinfusst of Tom Dorrance and Bill Dorrance. Brannaman teaches riders today in the whole world.

Movies

Brannaman had a strong influence on the film " The Horse Whisperer " by Robert Redford. According to him, the author Nicholas Evans designed the character of " Tom Booker" in his novel The Horse Whisperer, which was also the basis for the eponymous film. Furthermore, he was also the senior consultant at the filming with the horses and have been doubled for partially Robert Redford in the film.
