The OK Budvańską Rivijera ( Serbian Cyrillic Одбојкашки клуб Будванска Ривијера ) is a volleyball club based in Budva, Montenegro. It was founded in 1978 as Avala Budva and participates in the Montenegrin volleyball league. He also plays regularly in the CEV Volleyball Champions League or Cup.

History

The club was founded in 1978 as Avala Budva and first took up in 1982 at the regional championship of the Republic of Montenegro in part. From 1982, the team played in the second division of the SFR Yugoslavia.

1991/92 the team took third place in the playoffs the second division, but was allowed to ascend as substitutes due to the dissolution of the team Jugoslawija in the first division. Due to the disintegration of SFR Yugoslavia and the volleyball league was reorganized and Avala was relegated to the B- Division of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia.

Prior to the 1997/98 season, the club changed its name after 21 years because the main sponsor in Budvańską Rivijera. In addition, the club got a new coach and new players and reached 14 wins in 14 games the champion of the second division. In addition, he was promoted to the first division. By 2006, the club played in the first league of Serbia and Montenegro in 2001 and was able to win the championship. There was also 2001 and 2002, winning the cup.

Since 2006, the OK Budvańską Rivijera plays in the first Montenegrin volleyball league and competes primarily with the OK Budućnost Podgorica.
