Búhos de Hermosillo

Búhos de Hermosillo FC is a football club based in Hermosillo, the capital of the Mexican state of Sonora. Its home ground is the 22,000 -seat Estadio de Héroe Nacozari.

History

The Búhos (Spanish for eagle owls ) was founded in early 2004 and were given a starting place in the Tercera División fourth division, which they won in the Apertura 2006 with a final victory against the Potros de Hierro FC ( 0:2 and 4:0). Linked to this was the rise of the third-rate Segunda División, where the Búhos were initially allocated in the 2007/08 season the Zona Occidente and were represented by the League reform from the 2008/09 season in the Northern Group of the League Premier de Ascenso. After the Segunda División in summer 2011 again changed and the number of teams participating was radically reduced, lost Búhos their place in the league and are no longer represented in professional football since the 2011/12 season.
