Buitoni
Buitoni is an international Italian food manufacturers. The company is one of the most important Italian pasta producer.
History
Buitoni was founded in 1827. The so-called Casa Buitoni, the family home of the founding family Buitoni, about 50 km from Arezzo is located in the village of Sansepolcro. It is still used as reception Villa for journalists and also as a development center for noodle products. At the beginning the company's history was also still produced there today, the company has production not only in Italy but also in France and in the United States.
The company was acquired in 1988 by the Swiss company Nestlé.
The Buitoni brand products are exported to over 50 countries around the world.
Criticism
In February 2013 it was announced that Buitoni also is affected by the horsemeat scandal.
