Bullo Pill Railway

The Forest of Dean Railway was a railway company in South Wales.

On June 10, 1809, the Bullo Pill Tramway was founded. The narrow gauge track linking some mines in the Forest of Dean with a quay on the Severn at Bullo Pill. The route led from Bullo Pill after Cinderford. 1814, the line was extended to Churchway.

On 5 May 1826, the company was re-established as the Forest of Dean Railway. On 2 July 1847, the South Wales Railway was granted the right to lease the Company or to purchase. Then saw the acquisition in November 1849. The SWR built the track in the subsequent period to 2.14 meters wide track around and opened on 24 July 1854, the 11.7 km long railway line again.
