History

In 1971, after almost lost board election of a working group within the German Federal Association Scouts (BDP ) of the "covenant of the Boy Scouts Association " founded. For this "covenant in the covenant " was developed with the time of the Confederation of Independent Scouts ( BdP ). This was due to irreconcilable differences, and the politicization of the BDP, which was perceived as a socialist infiltration. The World Federation of the Scout Movement WOSM had signaled not to condone this breach of the principle of international scouting movement, to be apolitical longer. Then broke up in May 1971, the German ring Scouts frets on. With the German Scout Association of Saint George, which split from the BDP Federation of Scouts ( BdP ) and the resulting by merging the three evangelical Scout and Scout associations Association of Christian Scouts and Guides (VCP ), the umbrella organization founded on 1 January 1973 as a ring German Scout associations again. This umbrella organization was and is necessary for membership of the World Federation of the Scout Movement WOSM. This complicated process was necessary for the exclusion of BDP from the international Scout Movement, as the unanimity requirement of the associations was not achieved.

1976 merged the Federation of Scouts ( BdP ) and the Federation of German Scouts (BDP ) for the Federation of Scouts and Guides ( BdP ).
