The Federal Highway 270 (abbreviated as BAB 270) - Short form: Highway 270 (abbreviated as A 270 ) - is a highway, lying entirely in the northern city of Bremen. It begins in the district Blumenthal and runs to about seven miles in a southeasterly direction to a large transport hub Bremen -Nord ( colloquially called " Ihlpohler gyro ") is in the district Burgdamm. There she goes to the federal road 74, direction Osterholz- Beck and is associated with a high street leading through the node Federal Highway 27. It is, however, not a motorway junction, but a traffic light.

The Federal Highway 270 was built in 2001 by the reclassification of a portion of federal highway 74, the so-called " Lesum Quick Way". This section was also the designation B 74n. After this reclassification were dense development and in recognition of the lower traffic volumes carried out any construction work because of the expanding routing, so that in many parts no hard shoulder is available, and a speed limit of 80 km / h is fixed. From 2007 to late 2009, the Federal Highway 270 was extended as B 74 by several kilometers to the northwest and so continued up to the district Farge, where the route ends after a same-level beschrankten railway crossing at the Fährzufahrt. The existing ramps for a cross-free exit from A27 to A270 were not closed with a bridge clip, since the commercial traffic to industries is largely ceased to exist.
