Federal highway 440 ( Abbreviation: B 440 ) is a federal road in Lower Saxony. It runs from the county town of Rotenburg ( Wümme) to Bad Fallingbostel. It developed from an old army road of Napoleon Bonaparte.

Course

It starts on the B 215, performs the so-called " mill district " of Rotenburg ( Wumme), passes through the nearby Bothel and traverses about 20 km to the city center of southeastern Visselhoevede. Skip to extend in a southwesterly direction it crosses the Bomlitztal north of Bomlitz. ( Incorporated in Bad Fallingbostel ) In Dorfmark it crosses the main road 163 and meets little east of the village on the Federal Highway 7
