Bungoma

Bungoma is a town in the Western Province of Kenya. Bungoma is the capital of the district of the same name and has about 45,000 inhabitants. It is located near the border with Uganda, right on the equator. In Bungoma and environment agriculture is mainly operated.

Traffic

In addition to the Uganda Railway, which runs through Bungoma, there are regular bus services, such as in the capital, Nairobi. The highway A 104 leads past Bungoma.

Infrastructure

In addition to Primary, Secondary and High Schools Bungoma has among other things the Sang'alo Institute of Science and Technology and the Mabanga Farmer's training center. The Diocese of Bungoma the Roman Catholic Church maintains in Bungoma a school for disabled children, the St. Catherine 's School.
