Roman Catholic Diocese of Bungoma

The Diocese of Bungoma (Latin: Dioecesis Bungomaënsis ) is a location in Kenya Roman Catholic diocese based in Bungoma. It includes the districts of Bungoma and Busia in Western Province.

History

Pope John Paul II founded it with the Apostolic Constitution ut pari passa on 27 April 1987 cession of territory of the diocese of Kakamega and it became the Archdiocese of Nairobi assumed as suffragan.

On 21 May 1990, it was part of the ecclesiastical province of the Archdiocese of Kisumu.
