Colorful (inherent writing: COLOURFUL ) is a weekly magazine. It is published by Hubert Burda Media.

History

1948 appeared under Franz Burda magazine The first time the bank. It was in 1954 renamed Colorful Illustrated, as was begun in the newspaper to print color photo spreads. Since issue 40/1957, the magazine was published weekly. After taking over the "German magazine " in February 1958, the Journal was renamed as " Colorful German magazine ". and expanded its editorial staff. In early October 1960, acquired the "Munich Illustrated " and the sheet in " Colorful Munich Illustrated " renamed. With a second editorial in Munich the Burda publishing house was established in Munich.

On January 1, 1963, took over " Colorful Munich Illustrated ", the "Frankfurter Illustrated " and renamed as " Colorful Munich Frankfurter Illustrated ". On 1 July 1972, the " Colorful Illustrated " first appeared under the title Colorful whose editorship was passed on March 3, 1976 by Hubert Burda. End of October 1983, the editors of Offenburg moved into the new publishing house in Munich Arabella Park.

1995, inter alia, in Colourful Photos of Princess Caroline of Hanover (then Caroline of Monaco) were printed, which led to a long-running legal dispute between the Burda publishing and Princess Caroline (see: Caroline judgment ).

Since 1998, Colorful annually awards with the New Faces Award a newcomer award in the categories of film / television and fashion. The winners are determined by a jury of experts.

2008, the German Press Council criticized the magazine for breach of the Press Code. She had reported about a new car model and then exceeded by finding the limits of the Press Council of surreptitious advertising for a new product.

Editorship

Chief Editor of " Colorful " has 1 January 1997 Patricia Riekel which is also responsible for the magazine " Amica ". Member of the Editorial Board and chief reporter of the magazine is Paul Sahner.

Circulation Statistic

In the fourth quarter of 2012 the average circulation was IVW at 559 958 copies. These are 34,339 copies per issue less ( -5.78 %) than in the same quarter last year. The number of subscribers increased to 4,920 subscribers within a year to an average of 94 068 per issue from ( -4.97 %); so based approximately 16.8 % of the readers, the magazine subscription.

Spy scandal

In February 2010, the star revealed that the Bunte had hired an agency to spy on the private lives of certain leaders.
